Short Stories

I began writing many years ago and enjoyed some success in seeing my work published, but was filled with regret that I had neither the time nor the inclination to follow up that success with more. Maybe if I’m brutally honest the reason was the rejection slips that fell through the letter box on an almost daily basis.

Twenty years have now passed since my last work saw the light of day, and I’m at last beginning to realise that greater fulfilment is to be gained from the creation process rather than the ego-based idea that to be a successful writer one has to have one’s work in print.

Here’s the next best thing; in print, but without the pressure that must be the constant companion of the professional writer.

If you enjoy the stories (click on the links to left of this page) – let me know. If you dislike them – let me know. If you don't like my style of penmanship – well, hard luck! I’d rather not know.
